Before you arrive
Contact us for access support if needed: [email protected]
Please share your requirements as early as you can so we can prepare with care.
Companion tickets
Where a disabled guest requires a companion, we will provide a free companion ticket upon simple proof of eligibility. Please request this directly and start the conversation.
Information in advance
We’ll publish site maps, terrain notes, and schedules with descriptions of sessions to help you make the right choice for you. If you need large‑print or high‑contrast timetables, just let us know.
Getting here
Parking and drop‑off
Blue Badge parking and a dedicated drop‑off point will be available close to the entrance. Exact locations and what3words will be provided before the event.
Public transport and shuttles
We’ll list accessible routes and any step‑free options in our travel guide.
On the day
Terrain
The site includes fields and gently rolling ground, and we’ll mark firmer routes and resting points. If planning to travel to the festival on foot, please note that the site is at the top of a relatively steep hill.
Entrances and queues
If queuing is difficult, speak to our stewards for priority access and a seat while you wait.
Accessible toilets
Clean, clearly signed accessible toilets will be placed across the site, with regular checks. Sadly this year we have been unable to provide accessible showers, we are making this a priority for future festivals.
Seating and sightlines
A small amount of seating will be available in each tent, however, we do encourage you to bring your own options to ensure your needs are met. We will ensure an amount of reserved space for wheelchair users and companions.
Quiet space
A calm, low‑stimulus area will be open throughout the day for rest and regulation.
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome, although please do let us know that they will be attending with you at [email protected]. Water bowls and a relief area will be provided - ask a member of our on-site team for directions on the day.
Sessions and wellbeing
Intensity guidance
Each session will show energy level and any considerations. Modifications are encouraged — come as you are.
Scent and sound
Some sessions may include incense, essential oils, or amplified sound. We’ll signpost these to the best of our ability and provide low‑scent zones where we can.
Medical needs
You’re welcome to bring medication and necessary equipment. Refrigeration can be arranged at First Aid — speak to the team on arrival.
Strobe and lighting
We do not plan to use strobe lighting. If a performance includes flashing effects, we will clearly signpost it in advance.
Communication and support
Info and First Aid
Clearly signposted and staffed by friendly and compassionate people ready to help.
Alternative formats
Large‑print or high‑contrast materials are available on request. If you need information read aloud or summarised, visit the Info Point.
In‑the‑moment assistance
If you need help moving between tents or carrying items, ask a steward — we’re here for you.
Feedback and learning
We are always learning. If we miss something, or if your experience could be made gentler and more accessible, please tell us. Your insight helps us serve with humility and care.
Warmly,
Bristol Yoga Festival
